Amazon- Alexa Upgraded Products Launched- Amazon Echo, Sub & More

Amazon hosted its event in Seattle, where the company launched a bunch of new Echo devices including the new generation Echo Dot, Echo Sub, Echo Plus, Echo Show, Echo Wall Clock. There is no subscription cost to use echo, but if you are an Amazon Prime member ($99.00 a year) you will get a lot more out of it. You need a free echo app for your PC, Tablet, or smartphone. Non prime members can send their music to the Amazon cloud and have echo play it. Here are the list of products launched by Alexa-Amazon

Echo

Amazon Echo shortened and referred to as Echo is a brand of smart speakers developed by Amazon.com. The devices connect to the voice-controlled intelligent personal assistant service Alexa, which responds to the name “Alexa”.

Turn on Echo Dot. Place your Echo Dot in a central location

Connect Echo Dot to a Wi-Fi network.

In the Alexa app, follow the instructions to connect Echo Dot to a Wi-Fi network Talk to Alexa. Or Connect Echo Dot to an External Speaker.

SUB

The stereo pairing feature is also new — previously, you could group Echo devices into a room but not into actual stereo systems, as you can with the Home Pod or the Google Home Max. With Amazon sub you get 100W of bass through its 6-inch woofer, and you can pair it with an Echo or two to create a 2.1 stereo system. They also will work in Amazon’s multi-room setup as group

Amazon Echo Plus is taller than a normal Echo, and more metallic than the current model. Amazon Echo Plus is a new $150 smart speaker that connects too many smart-home gadgets right out of the box. Its simple-setup feature is great as there is a temperature sensor too, which tell smart thermostats to turn up the heat

Echo Input

Echo input is a much smaller new device that can be plugged into any existing speaker to turn it into an Echo and it includes far field microphones on it just like a normal Echo. It has its own audio dongle called echo Input with a microphone and 3.5 mm jack

Echo Link & Echo Link Amp

The Echo Link is designed to connect to existing amplifiers and should provide quality audio. The Link Amp, on the other hand, includes a 60-watt dual-channel amplifier. Neither of the products include microphones

Echo Show

The Echo Show contains a pair of two-inch speakers, and is distinguished from other Echo products by containing a 7-inch touchscreen. Its screen can be used to display visual output for Alexa assistant responses. Alexa can be used to request the playback of videos on its screen, such as Amazon Video content.

Smart Plugs

A smart plug lets you turn on and off any appliance that plugs into a standard wall socket and is controlled by an app. As part of a solution like Alarm.com, you can actively control it, or automate it so that it reacts to schedules and triggers from your security system.

Fire TV Recast

The Fire TV Recast is a DVR, but it doesn’t have its own video outputs. . It can stream the live and recorded video to Fire TV devices, the Echo Show, Fire tablets and other mobile devices. It works with over-the-air networks using an antenna and will send recorded shows

Echo Auto

A small, slim device that sits on your dashboard and has eight microphones built in, it lets you drop in on other Echo device owners for a quick chat, listen to Audible books. It also helps to check traffic updates and even set routines

Echo Wall Clock

Amazon has just announced the Echo Wall Clock, a new Echo accessory for displaying timers you’ve set with Alexa in a more visible way. The Echo Wall Clock uses a ring of LEDs around the clock face to show your active timers. It also updates to correct time automatically
